ARE PEOPLE BECOMING ROBOTS?

Seriously, I want you to think about that question as you go about your day – Are people becoming robots? How often are the things people do based on ideas they have and experiences they truly want to experience?  Do people even know what they like? Or do they like what they like because other people like it and because of what other people will think? How about favorite colors – how do people know what their favorite color is?  And what about the music they listen to – is it the beat they’re drawn to – the lyrics – the artist?

If you’re reading this post – I can already tell you are too smart to do something just because of what everyone else thinks. So that means you are wise enough to know the importance of knowing who you are for yourself. Before the world told you who you are. So tell me:

• What are three things you like about yourself?
• Who do you spend the most time with and why?
• If you could be doing any thing in the world today what would it be?
• And finally – what steps are you taking to have that experience of one day doing that thing you really want to do?

I asked if people are becoming robots because so many people can’t answer these basic questions about themselves – and it’s not judgment. I am just shocked. So many people don’t even take the time to get to know themselves. I’m just curious about the percentage of people who will read this post and ponder these questions – or better yet the people who know the answer to these questions already. Can you imagine spending a lifetime and knowing everyone else better than  you know yourself – the person you spend the most time with! I know it sounds bizarre, but it happens.

So if you dare – humor me. Prove me wrong. Maybe my observations aren’t true. Drop a line in the comments and share – can you answer the questions? I’ll be waiting patiently. I’d love to be proven wrong. I hope there are more people out there getting to know themselves – more than I think. Because if people are becoming robots, life is going to get quite boring – and then where are all the great ideas going to end up?
